The Soneto Ports are made by José Pinheiro who was previously the winemaker at Sandeman, the well-known Port house. A classic Reserve Ruby Port with an opaque ruby/black hue. Fragrant aromas of rich ripe blackberry and earthy cassis transition to a concentrated balanced palate with flavours of plum pudding, fig and blackcurrant. Enjoy immediately alongside dark chocolate or allow to continue to evolve in cellar.

A wonderful pairing to elevate your next charcuterie board. Match with roasted almonds, figs, mango/ginger Stilton and prosciutto. A complex and elegant fortified wine with a ruby/garnet hue and a fragrant bouquet of date, dried cranberry and gingerbread. Brown sugar, gingerbread and sultana raisin are layered on the palate and trail into a memorable finish.

2018 was the fourth of a series of very good vintages for Port and the Soneto Porto LBV is a great example. Ruby red in colour with aromas of black cherry jubilee, spice and mint. The first sip reveals a concentrated palate of juicy blackberry and burnt sugar lifted by a hint of mint. Notes of baking spice trail on the finish. LBV style Ports are bottled ready to drink and but also will last for many years in the cellar.
