Alvisa

Alvisa was founded in 1969 by the Garvey Group in Socuéllamos, in the heart of Castilla la Mancha. Bodegas Alvisa work in the sunniest lands in the heart of Spain to create a surprising range of wines. They produce 40 million liters of wine per year, all of them aged in French oak barrels under the expert supervision of our winemaker Serafín Moya. Alvisa focuses on careful selection of raw material wines for distillation as a key point to quality and quantity. Until 2003, when irrigation was permitted, most of the wine produced was either for distillation to make brandy, or sold in bulk. Today, the region of La Mancha has moved on in terms of quality, offering well-made great value wines for everyday drinking.
